A4-paper Cutting and Packaging Line

Packaging Machine

Functional Description

This system, commonly referred to in the market as a paper cutting and packaging machine, consists of three main integrated components: the roll unwinder, the cutting unit, and the packaging unit. These components are installed sequentially along a continuous production line, allowing each stage to operate in a synchronized and fully automated manner.

In writing paper production lines, a dedicated packaging machine is installed to wrap and seal pre-cut paper blocks consisting of 500 sheets each. This machine is equipped with infeed arms that pull the paper blocks into the machine. A film handling system then unwinds the wrapping film roll (typically gloss-coated or OPP), places it over the paper stack, and guides it to the wrapping section, where the film is tightly wrapped around the paper block.

After wrapping, the machine applies adhesive to seal the package and delivers a fully wrapped, professional-grade paper pack at the outfeed. The result is a clean, sealed package ready for market distribution.

This high-efficiency machine offers a production speed of up to 1,400 packs per hour, with adjustable settings via a touchscreen monitor (HMI). All critical components — including bearings, pillow blocks, gear motors, sensors, PLC, drive systems, pneumatic cylinders and valves, film unwinding speed controllers, power electronics, thermostats, and more — are specified and documented in the technical datasheet.

Technical Specifications

This machine is specifically designed for wrapping paper packs using paper-based, glossy, or OPP films, with hot melt adhesive application.

  • Package Dimensions:
Suitable for packs with a length of 30 cm, width of 21 cm, and height of 6 cm.
  • Heater Temperature Control:
The heater temperature is pre-set based on the hot melt glue’s melting point and requires no manual recalibration. However, built-in thermometers are available for fine-tuning if necessary.
  • Machine Coating:
Finished with electrostatic powder coating for enhanced durability and resistance.
  • Color Mark Sensor:
Equipped with a high-precision color mark sensor from a reputable brand to ensure accurate cutting of the wrapping film.
  • Paper Roll Holder:
Includes a roll holder mechanism for feeding wrapping material.
  • Paper Pack Transfer Wagon:
Features a chain-driven transfer cart for moving paper packs along the packaging line.
  • Triple Hot Melt Gluing Stations:
Three independent gluing stations apply adhesive to the longitudinal and transverse fold edges for secure sealing.
  • Integrated Transfer Robot:
A robotic arm system transfers each wrapped pack to the folding station with precision.
  •  Vacuum System:
Integrated vacuum unit ensures stable handling and clean wrapping of the paper packs.
  • Wrapping Film Transfer Belts:
Includes dedicated belts for conveying the wrapping material toward the folding section.
  •  Final Fold Ironing Unit:
A heating and pressing station secures and flattens the final fold edges for a clean, professional finish.

Servo Motor Control:
All wrapping stations are operated using servo motors, ensuring high accuracy, speed synchronization, and smooth motion control.
